Maxedia is, in "industry terms", what has commonly come to be known as a Media Server.
Essentially, this means that it is a computerized box that is capable of handling different kinds of media; pictures, video, 3D graphics etc. and output it as a video signal to be sent to video screens, plasma screens or any kind of video image projector.

On March 5th Showtime Network broadcast a live concert by Usher, "One Night, One Star Usher Live,” with use of the Maxedia.

GLAMAOURAMA 2005
The producers of Glamourama 2005 called on Velocity AVS to add exciting visuals to their May 26 fashion show. The fund raiser, benefiting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Children’s Hospital and Health Center of San Diego, was held at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara in Carlsbad, Calif. Velocity used its new Maxedia Digital Composer to project images on three video screens.
